For years drivers in the Mobile area have been frustrated by the traffic backups on Airport Blvd and the main reason is traffic signal timing.
Well not for long as a $576,000 capital improvement project is now underway as the City Council approved the first phase of the project!
The plan is to improve vehicle detection at intersections and communication between traffic signals on Airport Boulevard specifically between the Pinebrook shopping center and Sage Avenue.
The project should be complete by September of 2016.
