Acknowledging his defeat in his home state Tuesday night Senator Marco Rubio congratulated Republican front-runner Donald Trump on his “big victory” in the Florida primary and announced that he is suspending his campaign.

“We live in a republic and our voters make these decisions,” Rubio said, trying to calm the crowd that was booing Trump’s win.
