Pop music icon, Prince has been found dead at his estate in Carver County, Minnesota, his publicist has confirmed to the Associated Press.

Prince’s body was discovered at his compound early this morning and media reports have been running crazy with the rumor until it was confirmed minutes ago.

Earlier this month Prince had canceled at least one concert for feeling ill.  A few days later he performed in Atlanta.  After that show his plane made an emergency landing, and no one knows why.

TMZ was reporting that Prince had been battling the flu.
