A new study out of Emory University in Atlanta studied dogs’ brain scans to see how they reacted to their owners praising them by giving them a belly rub versus giving them a treat.  And almost EVERY dog preferred the sweet lovin’ to the food.

The researchers say that’s useful info for training a dog, and that it might be more effective to train them by rewarding them with praise instead of treats!
