University of Iowa junior Joel Henderson spreads Christmas cheer by walking around the campus dressed as Will Ferrell’s character Buddy the Elf. The 20 year-old accounting major passes out candy canes and reenacts scenes from the movie.

He tells the Des Moines Register that he owns an authentic Buddy the Elf costume. “I was nervous at first just because I thought I was going to look ridiculous. I figured since it was the last day of class I might as well make the most it. They all loved it, thought it was funny. It was a good way to take stress out from finals.
