Sales Tax Holiday!

Finally, we here in Alabama get a reprieve on sales tax just in time for SCHOOL.   YES!

The City Council members in Alabaster unanimously voted to approve the city’s participation in a tax holiday!  The holiday will happen in July for the first time ever.  In years past the holiday has fallen in early August, which is a little too late (considering kids are back in school by then).

The holiday will begin at 12:01 am Friday, July 21st and end at midnight Sunday, July 23rd.

The items exempt from state tax will include clothing costing less than $100, school supplies and other instructional material that costs less than $50 PER ITEM and computers and computer supplies costing less than $750.

Make sure to save you money!  We’ve given you a serious amount of time to plan for the sale…but you’ll have to head to Alabaster county to get the deals.   (WELL WORTH THE DRIVE TO SAVE THE CASH!)
