Some fans felt Missy Elliott was dishing out shade. She asked fans “what’s the difference between a hit and a classic song?”

Taking offense, fans shot at Elliott calling the “Get Ur Freak On” rapper “jealous.” 

Elliott’s response, “the question stemmed from a conversation she was having with a producer friend. She reminded trolls that she was coming from a “positive place.” 

It’s really all about preference.
