In a recent radio interview Shawn Mendes says he’s very “confused about life.

” At 25, the singer says he realizes that he loves people, the planet, and music, which is all worth fighting for.

This energy is what made up Mendes’ new song, “What The Hell Are We Dying For,” the song was released on the day New York had extreme smog due to the Canadian wildfires.

Mendes also commented on why he hasn’t put out much music saying,

“I feel like over the last year and a bit, I’ve just been really struggling in the studio to find my voice and to find myself musically and to even have the courage just to be in the room with writers or step into the booth and sing.”
