Michael Cera just made a forgotten doll come back to life after his role in the “Barbie” movie and helping people get a pretty penny.
The Allan character has been a rising fan favorite from the movie due to his role and plot and makes people wonder if Mattel will release new toys for him.
The doll first saw the shelf back in 1964 but was discontinues just a few years later and Mattel announced that it is going to stay that way as they are not going to bring new ones back.
Because of this the Allan doll has increased in value over just a few days. Ebay has been the popular place to buy or sell them and before the movie the average price was around $35-$75 for one. By Monday the prices made a massive jump and are selling from $150 to a whopping $300 and could possibly continue to go up.
Since Mattel is not putting any more Allans out there and the demand is high all the prices have been sky rocketing.
Would you buy a Barbie doll for $300?
