A woman was cat fished by who she thought was a star actor from “Stranger Things” and even went to the extent of sending $10k and divorcing her husband!!

A now single mom in Kentucky, McKayla claims she got cat fished by someone who said they were Dacre Montgomery who played Billy in the hit show and managed to get her to send $10k to him.

She posted a video on YouTube where she talked about her story of getting catfished, where they met online and talked for a year when he eventually asked her to be his girlfriend while she was still married but has said that the marriage was toxic.

While the real Dacre Montgomery has been in a relationship with Liv Pollock ever since 2017, McKayla did not care to much about and still believed it was real. He eventually told her to choose him or her husband and surprisingly she decided to leave her husband.

He managed to get her to send him money by gift cards, crypto and cash through apps by telling her Liv was in control of all of his bank accounts.

This kind of thing happens all to often and is called a “romance scam” where the scammer will go after someone vulnerable and get them to trust them enough to where they will send them money through gift cards or other non traceable forms of payments so they do not leave a money trail.
