AJ McLean from the Backstreet Boys has a emotional reunion with his biological dad after AJ’s therapy sessions revealed a few things, and he reunited with his father after 42 years.

McLean opened up about his reunion saying, “Not so much for my sobriety, ’cause that’s pretty solid.”

He added, “I go to my meetings regularly, and I’m doing my 12-step program. I got my sponsor. I know that I take it very seriously. But I needed to go to the root of it.”

He continued, “Hey, why don’t we have a little sit-down? I would love to pick your brain. I was told one thing from my mom and my uncle and my other family about how you were.”

AJ finished by saying, “And that’s what I’m trying to do right now. There is a healthy [form of being] selfish, and I’m making my own choices in life now and making my own decisions.”
