Netflix is trying to license ‘Sex And The City’ from HBO and is currently working on a deal that is close to being official.

However, it will stay a HBO Exclusive which is getting ready for a new season to be released shortly.

Ted Sarandos talked about the situation and said, “I believe because of our distribution heft and our recommendation system that sometimes we can uniquely add more value to the studio’s IP than they can. Not all the time, but sometimes it does, and we are the best buyer for it. I am thrilled that the studios are more open to licensing again, and I’m thrilled to tell them that we are open for business.”
