Usher addressed his performance with Alicia Keys in a recent interview.

Usher said, “I didn’t mean no disrespect to anybody or anything like that.”

He continued, “Nah, man, it was a celebration. We had an amazing time at the Super Bowl, the most-watched Super Bowl of all time. More people watched that than the Apollo 11 landing, man.”

Usher also added, “In no way, anything that was done there should have been viewed as bad or in any way perverted or anything like that. No, it was literally about having fun because of a song that me and Alicia made many years ago and we celebrate it because of the legacy of it. And no disrespect to anybody or anything like that.”
