Country singer Zach Bryan faced backlash after tweeting about Taylor Swift and Kanye West while under the influence.

The tweet, which compared the two artists, offended Swifties and led to Zach deleting his account.

“eagles > chiefs” — followed by “Kanye > Taylor… Who’s with me.”

He later apologized on Instagram, clarifying that he was not targeting Taylor and expressing his admiration for her music.

“Guys I love Taylor,” Bryan claimed in his followup tweet. He said he “was listening to TTPD [‘The Tortured Poets Department’] last night and ‘Thank You Aimee’ came on and I drunkenly tweeted that about Kanye.

“If anyone took it serious please know I love both artists a lot and think we’re in a really beautiful time of music.”
