Pharrell Williams recently said he is fond of his talent while on stage, but while talking to CBS Sunday Morning, he shared that he wanted to “sound different.”

The 52-year-old singer was quizzed about his role in Snoop Dogg’s 2003 hit, “Beautiful.”

Pharrell shared, “I had a song called Beautiful with Snoop. Girls heard me singing that. I heard (Disney character) Mickey Mouse.”

He added, “I swear to you, when you just get a moment, and you just listen, you’ll never be able to unhear it. But that’s what I hear.” The journalist chimed in, saying, “Sexy Mickey Mouse?” The “Happy” hitmaker responded, “No, not sexy, just Mickey Mouse. It was wild for me.”

He also talked about his work as Louis Vuitton menswear designer and how he always aims to bring “joy” to his projects. “I want to spread joy because I think there’s a shortage. Aim to like what you do, and nine times out of 10, someone else will too.”
