Following Sam Smith and Kim Petras’ performance of “Unholy” at the Grammys, Smith, and Madonna, who introduced the duo, hit the studio to record “Vulgar.”

The song picks up where “Unholy” left off. The song has a Middle Eastern melody reminiscent of “Unholy,” but Sam and Madonna are rapping similarly to Beyoncé’s “Cozy.”

Sam recently canceled a gig in Manchester due to injury; they will start the North American leg of “Gloria: The Tour” next month.
