The retired NFL player Tom Brady is still trying to bring championships to more cities as he has now become a part owner of Birmingham City Football Club.
He made this announcement in a video he posted Thursday saying “he’s officially coming on board” to the English Football League Championship team.
He also said “”And maybe you’re asking what do you know about English football, Tom?” as well as “Well, let’s just say I’ve got a lot to learn. But I do know a few things about winning, and I think they may translate pretty well.”
He joins current owners, Knighthead Capital Management LLC who is also on the board.
He makes a statement in his video saying “I know success starts with the work put in when the world isn’t watching,” and “I know a team is nothing without the city that shows up and stands behind it.”
“Most importantly, I know I like being the underdog. The road’s been long for Birmingham, but these fans have never stopped believing.”
Birmingham City claimed that he will be working with their science department helping with “health, nutrition, wellness, and recovery systems and programs.”
Tom has been on a tear recently in getting ownerships of sports teams where he has now 5 teams he is apart of including Birmingham City, Las Vegas Raiders, Major League Pickleball team, Las Vegas Aces, and recently a E1 World Championship electric boat racing franchise.
