Dua Lipa’s October Book Club Rec Is ‘One Hundred Years of Solitude’

Dua Lipa’s book club, Service95, picked One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez for its October book of the month.

“This incredible novel put me under a spell,” Lipa says of the genre-defining book, which follows the story of one family through seven generations.

“I was captivated by the fantastical elements that live alongside reality and loved how time loops and sways in the fictional town of Macondo,” the Grammy winner continues.

Lipa says that throughout the novel, she “reflected on love and war, familial bonds, the consequences of modernity and of course, the many meanings of solitude.”

“It’s irresistible,” she finishes.
