Two years after the Astroworld tragedy that left ten dead and hundreds injured, a company named Ceremony of Roses is suing Travis Scott for a substantial loss of investment in the festival.
The company, which provided games and amusements for the event, was placed in charge of financing and setting up, operating and dismantling the attractions.
CoR claims it had reasonable expectations that the festival’s music artists would ensure professionalism but blames Scott for the lack of safety, citing the rapper as guilty of “negligently and willfully” breaching the duty of maintaining a safe and secure environment.
The company received the right to recover its $700,000 in out-of-pocket costs and 50% of all revenue. However, the festival’s cancellation led to CoR being unable to recoup expenses.
With the aftermath of Astroworld, would you go to Travis’s new tour for his “Utopia” album?
