The abandoned Jergins Tunnel in Long Beach, California, will become a speakeasy.

According to the Long Beach Business Journal, city and business leaders announced Monday (November 13) that the Hard Rock Hotel will open in 2027 at the former Jergins Trust Building on Ocean Boulevard and Pine Avenue.

In the idea, Mayor Rex Richardson said the Jergins Tunnel will become a speakeasy with music that “ties into our local vibe.”
