The Weeknd, Barry Koeghan (Saltburn), and Jenna Ortega (Wednesday) are slated to feature in a new movie together.

Trey Edward Shults, with whom Abel Tesfaye (the Weeknd) co-wrote the script, will be directing the film, and Jenna is anticipated to serve as executive producer.

Abel teased the screenplay he was working on when touring work dried up during the pandemic in a 2020 interview with Rolling Stone, saying, “I can not talk about it too much yet” and “I really want it to be official.”

Now, Variety reports that the film is currently filming in Los Angeles, US, so the film is expected to air sometime this year.
