David Crowe, otherwise known as Taylor Swift’s stalker, was placed on supervised release after being arrested three times in five days on Saturday, Monday, and Wednesday.
Before his arrest, Crowe was seen on Wednesday afternoon (January 24) plunging into a sizable green dumpster outside Taylor Swift’s Tribeca apartment. He was charged with first- and second-degree stalking and harassment.
According to prosecutors, Crowe, a Seattle native, has been seen at Swift’s Tribeca residence up to thirty times in the past two months and has reportedly made multiple requests to speak with the singer.
Crowe was wearing a sweatshirt with a quote from American novelist Ursula K. Le Guin, “Love does not just sit there, like a stone; it has to be made, like bread; remade all the time, made new.” He did not enter a plea and was released under the condition that he not speak to Swift.
However, later that day, Crowe was seen going through a dumpster across from the Grammy-winning singer’s home in Tribeca. A quick arrest followed, according to the Post.
Should Crowe be put in jail for a lengthy amount of time? Should stalking laws be more strict?
