Grammy-nominated artist Coi Leray has launched the Camp Courage Foundation, a nonprofit organization to empower and connect individuals in inner cities.
The foundation aims to create a nurturing environment for youth to collaborate, support each other, and build lasting relationships.
Leray, who is currently on tour with Jhené Aiko, recently celebrated the launch of Camp Courage at the Great Falls Youth Center in her hometown of Paterson, New Jersey. The foundation focuses on mental health and promoting independence and nutrition through activities like cooking classes.
“Never dumb your self down to lift any one up. Be okay with walking away from whatever isn’t helping you grow. We can’t change anyone but ourselves so be very self aware and focus on YOU,” she wrote in the caption of her recent “Lemon Care” EP announcement. “Have more fun. Invest in yourself. Pray. Enjoy. See you on tour.”
