Reportedly, Justin Timberlake’s friend, who was drinking with him in the Hamptons on the night JT was arrested for DWI left the scene without being pulled over.

A woman and her husband approached the officers, who pulled JT over and offered to drive him home to avoid an incident, but the cops refused.

They did let her take his rental car home, which could pose a problem because she was under the influence, too.

Timberlake’s lawyers are allegedly using this argument to prove that the officers were incompetent and let someone who was more intoxicated than JT drive away.
