Uber drivers will no longer operate in South Baldwin County after city leaders asked the ride sharing company to suspend its services.

Residents of Gulf Shores and Orange beach sit on both sides of the fence. Some residents don’t think Gulf Shores needs Uber, while others feel that the beach location is the perfect place for ride sharing service especially with events like Hangout Festival only growing larger each year. Uber plans to work with both cities to work out plans to come back in time for Spring Break and Hangout. We will keep you posted on the details.
