There is an epidemic in New York right now… as thousands of dogs are being named “Bella?”
Apparently it has something to do with the popularity of the movie “Twilight” and the main character “Bella” played by Kristin Stewart.
According to the NYC Health Department’s “Bella” has been the number #1 name for the last seven years, overtaking Max in 2008! The dog license records showed 1,127 female Bellas and 1,073 male Maxs were registered in 2015.
