If you’re about to take a huge risk, like quitting your job to start a business, do NOT make a Plan B in case you fail. Because then you WILL.
A new study from the University of Wisconsin and University of Pennsylvania found that people who make a backup plan are more likely to fail on a project than people who don’t even entertain the possibility of things not working out. The people who had the backup plans wound up putting in less effort than people who didn’t, which made them much more likely to fail!
