A Washington County, Oregon criminal, named Craig Buckner, recently took a mug shot with his red pet parrot on his shoulder.

Buckner brought the bird to court because he did not think he was going to be jailed. He placed the parrot in a tree before a judge sentenced him to jail time for violating his probation. Deputies were concerned about the bird and allowed Buckner to retrieve it before his mug shot. The bird climbed onto Buckner’s left shoulder as deputies snapped several mugshots of the two.
